The most expensive and high performance cars are placed on the 20^th group and they are referred to as high insurance group cars.

The biggest advantage of low insurance group cars is that the cost of insurance is usually lower in this category. The premiums are lower compared to the higher insurance groups. It does not necessary mean that all cars that are placed under this category are of poor quality. A car may be expensive but due to the low risk involved with that type of car, it can be placed on the low insurance group category. For you to reduce the cost of insurance for your car, you can add more security features to minimize the risk involved. You can also discuss with your insurance agent and negotiate the price of insurance incase you feel that you are entitled to a discount.
